Motivated by your love for Christ
Romans 12:11
11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
A personal encounter with Jesus is a life changing experience. It is far more different than just being contended with just attending a regular Sunday celebration or attending any given church activity. If you feel like that, you need to refocus so that you get the proper motivation to serve. Out text encourages us not to be lazy , but to be zealous in serving God.
Zeal is dedication or enthusiasm for something.
If you have zeal, you're willing, energized, and motivated.
All About ZEAL
1. Don’t be lazy, but be diligent in serving the Lord” (12:11a).
2. Be passionate in spirit as you serve the Lord” (12:11b).
3. Serve the Lord” (12:11c).
John 10:10b
NLT
"My purpose is to give life in all its fullness."
NIV
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
The Difference between Existing and Life.
1. Existence is simply a confirmation of being alive,
2. Living is when you add values and purpose to your life.
It's the same as difference between:
· Food v/s Meal Food serves the purpose, but a Meal fulfills your need.
· Nap v/s Sleep Nap serves the purpose, but Sleep truly refreshes you internally.
· Studying v/s Learning Studying may get you graduated, but Learning empowers your life.
Living a Zealous Life
A. When you are just existing.
1. You are existing but you aren’t making the most out of your potential. (Possibilities, would-be, capacity)
2. You are not doing what you are passionate about.
3. You are not fulfilled or satisfied. (Just having tired routines)
4. You are living with the autopilot. (other factors driving your life)
5. You become powerless in front of life, and so you avoid taking responsibility for it.
When are living God’s LIFE
1. You are making a life, you believe in the beauty and potential of life itself.
2. You are driven and focused, because you have a purpose.
3. You know where God leads you and you take the full responsibility for your action.
4. You are creative, joyful and live to its fullness.
5. You know God’s call for your life and use it for His glory.
“There’s nothing more fulfilling than waking up knowing you are here for a
reason, working toward your end results with absolute faith to God that gave you hope and future.”
Life Group Discussion
1. In what condition do you see you life right now, existing or living?
2. What event or time period in your life would you like to live over again? Why? What
would you do different the second time around?
3. If we belong to God, how does this affect our thoughts, words, and actions in
relation to life? and what does it mean to have an abundant life?
