Spending Your TIME Wisely

Psalm 39:4
Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be.
Remind me that my days are numbered, and that my life is fleeing away.

If we think about it, there are only three (3) things in life that are given to us for free, our life, the air, and the time. And aside for the air, we are given the responsibility to spend both life and time wisely.
As one author said; “Do you love your life? Spend your time wisely

How many times you heard the statement: ”I would really like to do that, but I just don’t have the time?” But even more personal, how often have you said that yourself? The truth is, all of us have exactly the same amount of time, as does the President of the land. 24 hours, 1,440 minutes per day, 168 hours a week.
Ask yourself;
Are you growing, or just going?
Are you maturing, or just cruising?
All about TIME
1.       When you say, you don’t have the time for something, what you really saying is, you don’t consider  it  important enough to take for it
2.       When you study successful people who are the busiest and accomplished much, they seem  to find time for other things beside their work.
3.       People  who have time for what is important, has learned the lesson of time management not in school, but from those who succeed in life?

Most of us have no idea where our time goes, and as the result have no idea what happen to it, or what have we accomplish out of it. We manage to waste our time most in the following ways…

Making Your Time Work for you
Time is the only gift that can’t be returned. It must be used and spent, and once spent, it is gone. For this reason we have to spend it wisely. Here are some practical ways to spend your time for its worth.

1. Commit yourself to spend your time wisely.  (Psalm 90:12)
Starting on time, in whatever you are doing and going to do, is the first step of committing to time management. Your motto should be DO IT NOW! Not, just do it.

2. Learn when to say, “No,” and when to say “Yes.”. (Proverbs 2:9)
Being too eager to please can be dangerous. You need to appreciate yourself, your time, your limits.

3.  Take some time out (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
We have to take some break review our priorities in life, our relationship to God and our time schedule for our family. Taking some time out will allow you to evaluate your priority gainfully.

4.  Run the day or it will run you.
Part of the key to time management is just staying in charge. We start something and we’re in control, but as the day starts to unfold, we start losing it.

5,  Don’t mistake movement for achievement.
You probably know some people around you who are just plain busy being busy. You’ve got to be busy being productive.

6.  Concentrate on where you are.
Don’t start your business day until you get to the business. I used to start my business day in the shower. I’m trying to compose a letter in the shower. I’m not awake yet, and I’m trying to compose a letter. I found out that it doesn’t work that way. Wait to get to the office to start your work. Don’t start your business day at the breakfast table. It’s not good for the family, and it’s not very productive.

7.  Appreciate the little details.
Little achievements are just as important as big achievements. Success is the constant process of working toward your goals, little achievement by little achievement. Little achievements produce big results. Anything is possible in those 24 hours we’re given each day.

Actually, if you think about it, time does not come to us in days or hours, but just a
moment at a time. Your life is made up of what you do one minute at a time.

 Your Reflection

·         I spend most of my time in: ___________________________________________
·         I spend less time in _______________ than I should because ________________
·         My biggest “time-waster” is ___________________________________________
·         If I could, I would spend more time in  __________________________________
·         and less time in _________________________________I can accomplish more!
