6"I (Paul) planted the seed and Apollos watered it, but God made it grow."
While listening to Aya today sharing the word in our consecration Saturday, I started to ponder and thank the Lord for our place in Gaisano City Cinema 3 He has consecrated for us who are assigned in the south and how blessed we are for having a big place where we can gather to praise, worship, make friends and thank the Lord. And while reflecting on Paul's letter to the Corinthians, I believed that our place is a very strategic place for us to grow literally in numbers for this is the will of God, and this verse from 1st Corinthians comes to mind. God made the increase or made it grow YES na YES! BUT… somebody has to plant and watered what is planted. To put it in a nutshell – our part PLANT and WATERED, God’s part MAKE IT GROW.
We have to believe that God wants us to grow and we prayed for it, we announce it, we make info for it and make invitation, but unless we will be deliberate in bringing and welcoming people in our lives and intentionally putting them in a Life Group to process them to do the planting again, even God has no means to help us grow. Paul has planted, Apollos watered — by an image borrowed from the processes of agriculture the Lord also challenge us to look at our field for they are ready to be harvest. Our Lord Jesus said; 35"Do you not say, ‘There are still four months until the harvest? I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are ripe for harvest." (John 3:35). What is your present harvest field?
Is it your office place, workplace, business place, neighbors?
Are you looking at them as ripe for a harvest that need to know Jesus?
God is waiting for us to plant a seed, watered them and God is faithful to make it grow. Pray for 5 people today for 5 days that you wish to know about Jesus.
