Starting a
new series always excites me, because of a new challenge of researching for a
new piece or article it means new learning and I pray that as we start our new
series about the NAME of God and how it relates to us, I pray that this is not
just a typical, usual Sunday topics but a relational application that we have
to live and apply for the rest of our life.
God is MY…
Who
is God to you? Upon which name do you call in your time of need? Names are much
more than something we call each other given to distinguish one person from
another. Names (good or bad) are loaded with emotion and meaning and are very
important to us.
How God meets our needs
1. God must deal with
our motive and Attitude first.
Manipulation
and selfish desire are the chief enemies to our needs being met in the proper
way. We must be sure that our needs are God-driven and not self-desiring.
James
4:3 said;
“And even when you do ask, you don’t get it because your whole motive
is wrong
—you want only what will give you pleasure.”
2. God has different METHODS
of meeting our needs.
We
may not understand why He has chosen to meet our needs in a different way, but
God perfectly arranged to meet every need we have.
3. God has NEVER
FAILED to meet our needs.
His
provision is always available, but in the context of His principle.

Law
of God First
Do
you want God to provide for you? It starts here. It starts with
putting God first in your life. That’s the bottom line. The Bible
says that if you put your trust in God – if you make his kingdom your primary
concern – that God will provide for you. He will meet your needs.
But you’ve got to put God first in your life. When we use the name
“Jehovah Jireh”, we’re not just saying that “God will provide”. We’re
acknowledging that God has always provided, and that He will continue to
provide. Just be careful that you recognize God’s provision, though often it’s not what you expect, or because it seems
painful on the surface. Pray, keep an open mind, and open heart, and God Will
Provide in your life. But most importantly, we’re remembering that God provided
the Perfect Lamb, provided for our salvation, and provided the only way for us
to get to heaven and spend eternity with Him
Romans
8:32
“Since God did not spare even his own Son but gave him
up for us all, won’t God, who gave us Christ, also give us everything else?”
