God … Demands All or Nothing

Questions

Do you have the courage to stand for what you believe, especially when the issue is  your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ?
Do you make a stand for Jesus When everybody around you are laughing about it, criticizing it, disbelieving it?

God commands us in the Bible that we make a stand and defend our faith.

1 Peter 3:15, NIV
“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have”

Isaiah 7:9b NIV
“If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.”

Grace has become… cheap.  We are busy these days proving to the world that they can have all the benefits of the Gospel without any of the inconvenience to their normal, habitual way of life. It’s ‘all these and heaven too.’ How many of us try to make it easy for others to be saved only for them to fall away because they didn’t count the cost?

The Lord Jesus is calling us to follow Him in discipleship, and then  reminding us that it’s like building a tower that you don’t want to leave half-finished because you don’t have enough commitment or enough resources to finish it. It’s like going to war and realizing you don’t have enough soldiers to win the battle and defeat the enemy.
